Freakish Four Legged Duck!

I was browsing the celler today and found this amazing creature. Apparently this little guy was found in Britain, and another one just popped up Hebron.

Here is a clip of the crazy devil.

Climate Changing Travel - A Big Part of Our Future!

Peter Greenberg has a great article on his site talking about the effects of global warming in the next years to come. Some of these realizations are very shocking, here is a small clip of some of the top tourist destinations that could be affected:

Everglades, Florida: Due to increasing frequency of hurricanes;

Taj Coral Reef, Maldives: Rising sea levels will put much of the area underwater;

Cologne Cathedral, Germany: Already considered "at risk," this monument may be irreparably damaged from pollution;

Great Barrier Reef: Cruise ships are being blamed for damaging one of the world's largest marine ecosystems;

Athens, Greece: We're already seeing temperatures of more than 40C, which is expected to be exacerbated;

Tuscany, Italy: Heat waves and a rapid increase in wildlife threaten to make this a less attractive tourist spot

Definitely give the entire article a read and let's hope we can start to take care of our planet; Something that is long overdue!

Until next time,
Cammy! :)

Help Save Animals That Cannot Save Themselves!

A very good friend of mine sent this to us and we thought that it is something we definitely should share. Please read through this short blog and take a quick 5 minutes to really help out animals that can not protect themselves. Someone has to take care of these creatures.

I've just signed it and it's a really worthwhile campaign - Japan is killing over 20,000 dolphins and small whales annually, most of which are ending up in meat markets. It's brutal and needless and is being subsidized by the international aquarium industry.

If you click on the following link you can potentially help stop the current negotiations for the sale and transfer of 12 bottlenose dolphins from secret Japanese killing coves to the Ocean World Adventure Park, a Dominican Republic amusement park. WAYN have set up this petition so that our signatures can potentially make a difference not only in this particular instance but in raising public awareness for the issue.

It will only take a few moments so please click here and make a difference with me:

Stop the killing and start saving animal lives. This is a worthwhile cause to everyone!

Until Next time,
Cammy!

Sri Lankan Elephant Abey Goes on a Rampage!!

A MSNBC story of this Elephant, who during a polo match ended up going berserk.

"The four-ton elephant threw off an American player as well as the Sri Lankan rider directing Abey as the island's sixth annual elephant polo tournament got under way, rampaging off the field and crushing the Spanish team's minibus with his head."

I thought this was a very interesting story, and look at the damage this Eighteen-year-old brute did on that minibus!!

I don't think they will be driving that thing home ;)

Enjoy!!

Flying the Pet Friendly Skies...For the Travelling Pet Lover

Here is some news that I have seriously been waiting a long time to hear...you travelling pet lovers, brace yourself for...

The world's FIRST Pet Friendly Airline!!!

Finally...an airline for not only the family, but one that also welcomes your furry, 4 legged member of the family, who is more often than not, excluded from 'most' typical family outings.

Yes, you heard that right, all you animal lovers yell for joy because there is hope on the horizen.

For those of you who have never had to experience the hassles and pains that not only you must go through but also your pet, in order to travel on a plane with you, this is absolutely incredible news.

Soon, we can only hope that other airlines will follow suit and also offer a service like this. Maybe there will come a day when no family pet must fly solo in the cargo hold along with everyone's luggage and the many hazardous, potentially fatal potentials.

Conpanion Air - Where pets and families fly first class

Now that's what I'm talking about!!

While Companion Air hasn't yet begun their first service, definitely check out their site and sign up for their mailing list so that you can be the first to learn about them going 'live'! Although from what I can tell on their website, the routes that will be offered in the beginning are only between US cities and I would imagine that is because it would take a significant amount of time before an airline as specialized as this one, could start to take their 'passengers' through multiple countries.

It's a dog's world out there!

Check it out at: www.companionair.com

Happy travels!
